Madeiran athlete Cristiano Ronaldo used social media to promote New Year’s Eve in his homeland. In a video shared by footballers, it is possible to glimpse the decorations and lights alluding to this court, in Funchal, as well as the fireworks display.

Ronaldo says that Madeira has the best fireworks display in the world, appearing in the Guinness Book of Records.

“Are you ready for the best moment of your life?”, he asks, in English, in this message clearly aimed at the international market.

The video was published this morning and in less than 1 hour it has already reached 489 thousand reactions on Instagram and more than 5 thousand comments. 

This is the second promotional video for Madeira that the athlete has published this month. On December 7th I had done the same, this time about Funchal and the various activities it offers. We are talking about a promotion campaign, by Turismo da Madeira, with which the Madeira star is associated.
