Mila Kunis: 10 Winning Award Season Looks
''Black Swan'' star rocked every red carpet she walked this season; her stylist shares insights on fave fashion
The Oscars (Feb. 27)
Kunis floated onto the red carpet in an ethereal — and very revealing — Elie Saab gown, but her stylist, Petra Flannery, tells us there was no potential for a wardrobe malfunction. ''The fit was so secure, and the dress was completely lined at the bottom,'' she explains. ''I just chose to line it in nude. It was completely opaque. It was just so you could see the beauty of the lace. Otherwise, you would've lost it if you lined it in the lavender.''
Oscars after-party (Feb. 25)
To work the party circuit, the actress went more casual-chic with a pop of red in a Valentino mini. ''Not many colors don't work well on her because she has a such a beautiful complexion and beautiful skin,'' says Flannery.
SAG Awards (Jan. 30)
Kunis experimented with high fashion in this bold Alexander McQueen gown, and won us over once again. Flannery shares that it was a favorite for the actress: ''It had a cool factor to it. She put it on, and it was a no-brainer. I think she may have mentioned it's the most comfortable dress she's ever worn.''
Golden Globes (Jan. 16)
The Black Swan actress opted for old Hollywood-level glamour with this one-shoulder Vera Wang gown in a rich emerald hue. ''That was something where, when she put it on, it had the 'wow' factor,'' says Flannery. ''She loves black, but color works so well on her, so it's like, why not go with it if you can?''
Critics Choice Awards (Jan. 14)
Two days before the Globes, Kunis seized the opportunity to go for a more fun and flirty awards show look in this Nina Ricci dress. ''Loved, loved, loved it,'' her stylist says. ''It was very French and chic. That was one moment where she wore a little more jewelry, and we did bows, lace, necklaces, and earrings. Sometimes we play it down, but this was a fun event.''
AFI Awards (Jan. 14)
The actress often turns to feminine silhouettes, and this crisp white dress by Victoria Beckham was no exception. ''It had a little bit of that '50s Hollywood glam to it, the way it went in at the waist and came out into the skirt,'' says Flannery.
People's Choice Awards (Jan. 5)
For the first awards show of the new year, Kunis chose a beautifully draped J. Mendel gown in a hard-to-pull-off hue. ''She loved that dress,'' Flannery says. ''Not everyone can wear olive, but she wore it quite well.''
Black Swan New York premiere (Nov. 30)
Can you say sexy and sophisticated? Kunis managed both in this Elie Saab gown. ''That dress to me was very chic and sophisticated,'' Flannery says. ''There was something so simple and effortless [about it].''
AFI Fest (Nov. 11)
In this short and sweet Oscar de la Renta dress, Kunis called to mind another fashion icon for Flannery: ''It was very Audrey Hepburn,'' she says. ''It had flounce and fun and femininity.''
Hollywood Awards (Oct. 25)
At the start of her red carpet run for Black Swan, Kunis played it simple but sophisticated in a strapless Monique Lhuillier mini. ''Working with her the last two years or so, I have a sense of what dresses will look good on her,'' Flannery says.
